Guidehouse Honored by Department of Defense with Patriot Award for Support of National Guard and Reserve Members

WASHINGTON, March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Guidehouse, a leading provider of management consulting services, announced today that Cara McFadden and Dan Martin have been honored with the Patriot Award by the Department of Defense in recognition of their extraordinary support of their employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.

McFadden and Martin were nominated by Reservist and Senior Associate at Guidehouse, Ryan Kwan. The award was presented by ESGR Volunteer Ms. Melinda Jones.

The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

“At Guidehouse, we have an unwavering commitment to empowering our nation’s veterans and all who have served. Twenty percent of our employees have a military background, across branches and ranks,” said Scott McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer of Guidehouse. “We applaud Cara and Dan for this prestigious accolade.”

“We are so proud and humbled to receive this honorable recognition,” said Cara McFadden, Partner at Guidehouse. “Veterans help expand our view of the world and develop solutions for different regions, different industries, different challenges. We are proud to support those who have served and continue to serve our country.”

The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.
