We support Dog Tag Inc. (DTI), a veteran organization that provides transformative opportunities for veterans with service-connected disabilities, spouses, and caregivers. Guidehouse has hosted cohorts for a digital boot camp to help build each entrepreneur’s digital presence. Skills gained from this training have directly impacted the expansion of some of the fellows’ small businesses by providing them with techniques to increase their brand recognition and followership within the digital marketing space.
Our Fellowship is a 12-week program where participants spend four days a week, Monday through Thursday, working with their assigned segment team where they receive on-the-job training and build their civilian work experience. Throughout the program, fellows spend each Friday in professional development and employment-related training with The Chamber of Commerce.
We are proud to support Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a 501(c)3 Veterans Service Organization offering compassionate care to those grieving the loss of a loved one who died while serving in our Armed Forces, or as a result of their service. We are particularly supportive of the variety of programs TAPS provides survivors nation and worldwide, including its National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp, held annually in Washington, D.C. since 1994.
“As a consultant and as a servicemember, you need to be flexible, self-disciplined, and motivated. You are expected to perform due diligence, keep on task, and deliver results for your team. The military provides a crash course in these skills, which is why some employers take great pains to recruit and retain veterans. Some, like Guidehouse, have established employee affinity groups to help connect veterans and provide a sense of community within the organization.”
