The AFERM Summit Planning Committee is actively planning another stellar set of presentations for this year’s 15th Annual ERM Summit Training Event. This year’s Summit Planning Chair is Mike Batlogg at SEC and the Co-Chair is Kathy Zelnik at the Dept. of Education.
Join your fellow ERM practitioners at the 2022 AFERM Summit Training Event on October 26-27, 2022 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center and online. AFERM will bring together experts from across the Federal Government and other sectors to share how ERM positions organizations to best navigate the most critical unknowns ahead. Come join your colleagues to learn leading practices on the following topics with inspiring speakers, hands-on workshops, and engaging sessions:
Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 10 CPEs during this year’s Summit Training.
Check out the 2021 AFERM - Guidehouse Enterprise Risk Management Survey where AFERM and Guidehouse collaborated to survey Federal government leaders and staff for their insights into the current state of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in their organizations.

Kate Sylvis, director, will facilitate a breakout session on “Integration of ERM with Strategic Planning, Budgetary and Execution Processes” on October 26 at 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET. Kate Sylvis will also moderate a plenary session on “The Journey to Using ERM to Support Strategic Decisions” on October 27 at 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. ET, with Chris De Wolfe and Matt Jarm from MARS Global Risk Management as speakers.
Thomas Holland, director, will moderate a breakout session on “ERM Insights from the 737 Max Airliner Crisis — an ERM Case Study” on October 26 at 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. ET. Thomas Brandt from FRTIB and Alice Miller from the International Development Finance Corporation will speak on this panel.
Bobbi-Jo Pankaj, director, will moderate a plenary session on October 26 at 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET, with Judy Smith, crisis management expert, as a speaker.
Ryan Curran, director, will moderate a breakout session on October 27 at 10 – 11 a.m. ET.
