Guidehouse Developed and Implemented Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to Help Reduce Cost


A U.S. federal agency historically relied on budgetary and fiscal data collected from manual processes and needed to modernize for greater performance and affordability. The agency’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team established a RPA Center of Excellence (COE) to provide common governance and resources for the adoption and successful application of RPA across the agency financial management community.


Guidehouse supports a financial reform initiative to find, develop, and implement RPA solutions for multiple business processes to standardize processes, automate data exchanges, and promote interoperability. A structured automation development lifecycle was implemented and enhanced by leveraging a dashboard to monitor and track success metrics.


The process automation deployment and RPA COE establishment provided a direct cost savings of 17,000 redirected annualized labor hours, with a total of $885,000 redirected annualized labor costs.
