Jeffrey (Jeff) Baynes is a director in the Life Sciences practice. He is responsible for engagement oversight and account management for pharmaceutical companies seeking support related to market planning and portfolio strategy, business development, business strategy, and commercial excellence. Jeff’s experience spans two decades of market research, sales, marketing, and commercial strategy and operations in the life sciences industry.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Jeff served as vice president of business development at EMCAY LLC, a multi-cultural advertising agency focusing on the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, he focused on obtaining new business for the agency through pitch preparation and delivery as well as building and strengthening key relationships among potential and existing clients.
Prior to EMCAY, Jeff spent eighteen years working at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. During his time at Novartis, he held various positions with increasing responsibility in market research, sales, marketing, and commercial strategy and operations. He has extensive experience in multiple therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular, neuroscience, immunology, respiratory, oncology, and gastroenterology, and has led numerous cross-functional teams focusing on product launch preparation, lifecycle management, pricing and market access, and go-to-market strategy.
