Christopher Dormer is a director in the health practice, within the payer sector. He has vast experience in the health payer and insurance sector, most notably with Aetna and is expertly conversant in the payer value chain. Dormer lead Aetna International’s IT organization, with responsibility for delivery of applications that support the expat population abroad, converting and modernizing the technology stack in the process and creating solutions for FX and breakage relative to payments, while creating data visualization dashboards for operational reporting. Furthermore, he managed discretionary capital investment of over $100MM across multiple portfolios, including Government Programs (Medicaid/Medicare), Student Health, Claims/Contact Center, Worker’s Compensation and Managed Care. Additionally, Dormer spent time within mergers and acquisitions, most notably for Coventry Health Care and a Medicaid organization out of Miami. In this capacity, he was technology advisor to the business operations particularly as it relates to CMS.
Dormer also has wide experience working in the commercial insurance sector with CNA as Vice President of Application Development. In this role, he was charged with converting IT delivery from a staff augmentation orientation to a managed services delivery model, with trips to various India-based campuses as part of the selection process. Furthermore, he was responsible for delivery of a $190MM claim transformation program, implementing marketing solutions with Salesforce and then billing and payments solutions.
With expertise in delivery and technology across application platforms and infrastructure, Dormer worked for Capgemini in a consulting and business development capacity. While selling to payers he received the Capgemini ACES award in both 2016 and 2017, for exceeding sales quota by 400%. Due to his consultative selling style, he has helped conceive and then sell solutions for CMS, leveraging Pegasystems and McKesson. Additionally, he leverages partners in the selling process, most notably with a $22MM solution for large BCBS plan.
