Brian Fisher is a Director with theHealthcare Strategy practice. His work focuses on analytic-driven approaches to inform and quantify business strategies across both health plan and provider clients. Given his technical nature, Brian has focused much of his tenure with Guidehouse building new approaches, methodologies, and analytics for the practice.His areas of expertise have been focused in two domains: managed care / value-based care, and new business ventures. Within the first domain, Brian helps provider clients plan and implement managed care strategies, including assessments and transitions into value-based payment models. Brian was instrumental in establishing Guidehouse’s bundled payment capabilities and portfolio. In addition, he assists provider clients in their transition to value-based contracting, assessing opportunities, risks, and key success factors. Brian was instrumental in establishing CMS bundled payment design and success for his clients, helping them achieve more than $20M in shared savings.
Brian is unique in that he works in both health plan and provider clients, allowing him to translate his technical expertise into strategy. Most recently, he has led several engagements to assess new business ventures and strategies, including: establishment of a provider-sponsored health plan, multiple geographic expansions for health plans and providers, provider ambulatory expansions, and enterprise partnerships.He is a frequent industry thought leadership contributor and has completed his Master of Science in Health Systems Management at Rush University. Brian has also served as an adjunct professor at Rush University and leads campus recruiting efforts for the Healthcare Strategy team.
