Melanie Geesaman is a Director with over thirteen years of experience consulting in the commercial and federal space. Melanie’s experience includes eight years consulting for the federal government primarily within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including several projects for the United States Secretary Service (USSS), Department of Homeland Security Headquarters, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and United States Coast Guard (USCG). Melanie has led teams in delivering business process re-engineering, internal controls, finance effectiveness, program management, risk management, and other consulting support services to DHS. She has also engaged in targeted remediation efforts and assessments in support of DHS’s goal to obtain a clean audit opinion. Melanie graduated from the Christopher Newport University in 2007 with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting, and from the College of William & Mary in 2008 with in Masters in Accounting. Melanie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and Project Management Professional (PMP).
