Malte Gephart is an associate director and part of the Public Sector team at Guidehouse in Berlin. He is an expert in renewable energy investment conditions and new business models in EU Member States and beyond. This includes foremost support scheme design (e.g. auctions), regional cooperation between EU Member States, the EU "Clean Energy for All" legislation, corporate PPAs, sustainable energy security and new business models in a changing environment.
Malte has extensive experience in managing large, complex projects and he has more than 10 years of experience in supporting public and private sector clients in change processes. He has conceptualized and implemented various stakeholder processes in the energy sector and has access to a large international network in the energy field.
During his studies of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Hamburg he focused on international relations and international development cooperation.
Prior to Guidehouse, he conducted consultancies for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Water Integrity Network, and the Bertelsmann Foundation. He also worked in the Member of Parliament’s office of Thilo Hoppe in the German Bundestag.
