Shalom Goffri is a director in Guidehouse’s Energy practice. He has more than 10 years of experience across a wide range of power and renewables projects including project evaluation, adoption studies, due diligence, end user energy strategy, and M&A support.
Dr. Goffri leads and executes a range of engagements for corporate, government and financial clients as well as electric and diversified power companies and utilities. He leads engagements in growth and operational strategy, M&A strategy and due diligence, and project development among others. He has managed M&A strategy and due diligence projects for more than 30 companies in the energy sector, from early stage companies with novel technologies to distributed generation and large-scale power projects. Dr. Goffri has also developed market and technical strategies for various clients including utilities, local and national governments, and private investors. Additionally, he is an expert on solar generation and renewable markets, evaluating on technical and economic merits from both the customer and developer perspective.
Recently he has been working on distributed generation third-party ownership business model and costs as well as the developing value of solar analysis on the electricity grid. He has also developed a resource potential study for PacifiCorp’s integrated resource planning modeling adoption on several technologies including solar PV, wind, and CHP (engines and turbines) across various states and customers segments.
Prior to Guidehouse, Dr. Goffri was a researcher at the University of Cambridge, UK and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
