Taylor Howard is an associate director at Guidehouse and a leader in the Digital and Emerging Technology practice. An innovative and passionate change agent, Taylor has more than 14 years of extensive experience in both public sector and commercial healthcare, including program management, consulting, technology implementation, and team management. His areas of expertise include digital transformation, emerging healthcare digital technology, facility and professional revenue cycle, and healthcare finance.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Taylor worked at ERPi as a program manager supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Taylor led key projects as the Office of Community Care transformed several programs to improve veterans' access to care, reduce wait times, and better share information across VA and non-VA providers. Prior to his work with the VA, Taylor spent 10 years at The Advisory Board Company, an Optum company, a healthcare technology, consulting, and research firm. Taylor worked across multiple areas, including facility and professional revenue cycle, operations, and finance. He has extensive experience using business intelligence and other data to drive performance improvements across the healthcare delivery spectrum. He has presented on current and emerging healthcare trends at multiple Healthcare Financial Management Association meetings. Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William & Mary. He holds multiple professional certifications in project management (PMP, CSM, Agile), risk management (PMI-RMP), business intelligence (CHFP, CSBI), and cloud technologies (AWS).
