John Hunt is a Partner at Guidehouse and leads the Advanced Solutions Segment. John enjoys being known as “the people partner.” By consistently living his values of honesty, faith, and compassion, he works collaboratively to deliver exceptional service to others while helping them realize their goals. With 25 years’ experience supporting both the private sector and the federal government, John strives to be a model for client service and people management. Beyond his genuine positive outlook, his strengths lie in defining needs, maximizing resources, focusing on the well-being of his clients and team, and achieving consensus.
John spent many years building IT security consulting practices where he delivered IT security solutions to large Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. Federal Government. He has worked on a variety of projects, designing and evaluating high assurance networking devices, implementing enterprise-wide security solutions, assessing IT systems for vulnerabilities, evaluating IT controls to support financial and non-financial audits, and building compliance programs.
In his pursuit of distinctive service, John enjoys developing a team with specialized training and credentials that is uniquely equipped to serve Guidehouse clients by leveraging public and private sector best practices and fostering a rewarding environment that attracts top talent. With his affinity for mentoring and problem solving, he’s developed a reputation for consistent leadership. John and his fellow Guidehouse Partners invest in repeatable high-quality processes, as evident in winning the 2015 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, to develop his people and serve his clients.
John earned an MS from Johns Hopkins in Computer Science and a BS from University of Louisville, Speed Engineering School in Engineering, Math, and Computer Science (EMACS).
