Dan has over 25 years of experience in military operations and Department of Defense system acquisition support. He is a Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) and has extensive economic and business case analysis experience in support of the Department of the Navy and the Defense Logistics Agency. He currently serves as a Director at Guidehouse an engagement leader responsible for Navy market support in the Washington Metro area. His expertise is in economic analysis of system acquisition, real property, infrastructure and installation operation services. Dan served on active duty in the Navy and retired as a CAPT from the Navy Reserves.
Dan is experienced in supporting various Defense Department Major System Acquisition Programs (ACAT I-D through ACAT IV). His expertise is with financial analysis, should-cost, life cycle cost estimating and risk management of systems acquisition. Dan led and supported numerous detailed business case analyses, analysis of alternatives, and cost benefit analyses for major Defense system acquisition programs. In addition to system acquisition, he is well versed in real property and base operating support service analysis. He led Public-Private Venture (PPV) analyses, supported Joint Basing and Regionalization initiatives through applied economic analyses, and evaluated consolidating base operating support services for the Navy and Marine Corps. Early in Dan’s career, he served as the technical lead for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analyses and developed documentation in support of Military Construction projects.U.S. Navy, CAPT(ret): Dan served 26 years in the Navy, combined through active and reserve duty, and qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer.
