Russell King-Jones is a Director in Guidehouse’s Research & Development (R&D) Management team. Since joining Guidehouse in 2004, he has helped develop the key tools, processes, and business relationships that have made Guidehouse one of the premier R&D portfolio management organizations in the United States. His background in mechanical engineering, engineering management, and experience with military technology, positions him as a critical case management asset in all R&D management engagements.
His primary specialty lies in the implementation of Guidehouse’s Portfolio Discovery® service offering in politically charged organizations seeking structured and robust processes to review their R&D portfolios. Work he has authored and co-authored has been used to defend multi-billion dollar budgets, re-align national defense and security investments, and drive organizational change.
As a leading R&D portfolio management practitioner, Russell is often called upon to develop new tools and advanced methodologies to fit the needs of Guidehouse’s diverse client base.
Russell has worked extensively within the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and major defense contractors to assist them in making investment decisions in the face of changing requirements, risk, uncertainty, and strategic goals.
