Lisa Mauti is a transformational brand strategy and change management professional who has over sixteen years of experience in patient communities, strategic marketing and political communications. She is currently leading the 15-person Guidehouse Communications team on the Cerner Electronic Health Record Modernization contract with VA. She previously led the 12-person Guidehouse Communications team on VA Community Care. Lisa has experience delivering communication strategies for complex transformational health IT projects that are geographically diverse and include complicated audience structures.
She currently works for Guidehouse, Health Sector delivering transformational change communications strategy for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Previously, Lisa was the VP of Cause Marketing for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance where she worked with organizations like Stand Up to Cancer, NASCAR and Jaeger LeCoultre to raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and raise funding for research and advocacy efforts. Lisa also delivered patient education and advocacy communication strategies with CDC, FDA and congressional briefings in coordination with the Alliance’s federal policy shop. Prior to the Alliance, Lisa led and oversaw all internal and external communications during the regionalization of the Arthritis Foundation, Mid Atlantic Region. She also worked on the Ad Council campaign for osteoarthritis. Lisa has her MA in Political Communication from American University and her BH from Penn State University. She is a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) and is currently working on her MS in Healthcare Management from American University.
