Jeremy Newberger is an associate director in the Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment. He has more than 25 years of experience in the energy efficiency field, including over twenty years of strategic planning, program design, cost effectiveness, and evaluation work for a leading northeast utility. Jeremy's expertise spans the breadth of the energy efficiency program lifecycle: policy and strategy, program design, stakeholder and regulatory engagement, resource valuation, benefit/cost analyses, evaluation and reporting. In recent years, Jeremy has worked toward the integration of efficiency, other distributed energy resources, and customer-facing grid modernization technology to facilitate the presentation of a comprehensive set of clean energy solutions to customers and stakeholders.

Some examples of Jeremy's project work prior to Guidehouse include:

  • Advocating for changes to enabling legislation in Massachusetts to facilitate the expansion of energy efficiency to include other clean resources and subsequent changes in program administrator plans
  • Leading strategic planning for $1.2 billion energy efficiency energy efficiency plan in Massachusetts
  • Guiding an initiative to develop third-party finance partnership for commercial and industrial projects, including vetting and selection of potential partners
  • Coordinating the New England regional avoided cost study six times
  • Managing business case analyses for a grid modernization filing in Massachusetts
  • Contributing to Power Sector Transformation strategy development in Rhode Island
