Jay Perlman is a Director in the Financial Services practice and has almost 30 years of legal, regulatory compliance and investigative experience in both the government and private sectors. Jay is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies to develop collaborative relationships with law firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations.
Jay has conducted financial fraud and due diligence investigations, enhanced and developed compliance programs, and provided employee training to both private sector clients worldwide in the areas of anti-bribery and corruption, securities regulatory compliance, and anti-money laundering compliance.
Prior to joining Guidehouse and its predecessor Navigant Consulting, Jay was associate general counsel for The Motley Fool, Inc., an associate general counsel of a mid-size broker-dealer/investment adviser and in the Securities Enforcement Group of a major law firm. Before entering the private sector, Jay served in various positions in the Divisions of Enforcement and Corporation Finance at the Securities Exchange Commission, as well serving as a special assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia.
