Michael has 10+ years of experience consulting for integrated healthcare delivery systems, from front-line clinicians to health system executives. Exposure to both health plan and provider side consulting has afforded Michael with unique and intimate experience in a broad range of healthcare challenges. He has developed expertise or played a key role in the following areas: patient demand market analysis, network adequacy assessments, network optimization, facility footprint rationalization, health system strategy, regional operating model design, value-based care and purchasing execution, rural health care delivery strategy, operating room optimization, surgical workload recapture, clinical analytics dashboard development, referral management strategy, and beneficiary / patient marketing and communications.
Prior to Guidehouse, Michael was a member of Deloitte’s healthcare consulting practice. He began his career in Federal service with TRICARE, where he gained valuable insight into the role vertically integrated delivery systems play in the broader healthcare landscape.
