He is a proven executive leader and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience integrating people, process, and technology to develop innovative delivery models and promote business growth across evolving industries. Josh is a forward thinking, results-oriented leader who drives impact in cross-functional teams while developing strong, trust-based relationships. He is adept at problem solving, providing innovative solutions, simplifying complex issues and motivating others.
In his role as Partner of the analytics practice, Josh leads efforts to develop, operationalize and commercialize advanced analytic capabilities across Guidehouse segments. He serves clients by combining industry knowledge with specific experience in data management, business intelligence, healthcare operations and Healthcare Information and Technology (HIT) and advises clients on complex strategic and operational matters with specific focus on using analytics to drive performance management and large-scale change initiatives.
As a senior leader for a strategic initiative to develop centralized capability and resources to support solution development, commercialization of IP and integration of analytic capabilities across Guidehouse’s business segments, he has led teams participating in over 100 client projects across Healthcare, Energy and Financial Services business segments. He currently leads US and India teams organized around solution development and delivery, business intelligence and analytic development, data management and advanced analytics (i.e., machine learning, RPA, AI). He also co-chairs corporate level data and analytics working group committee to provide analytic strategy across the compamy.
As a leader of Healthcare Analytics, Josh has led teams and projects that focus on the delivery and use of Healthcare analytics to support both strategy and operations across a broad array of healthcare content domains, including, but not limited to: market data, claims data, supply chain / purchasing data, operational data, financial data, revenue cycle, clinical (EHR) data, imaging data and population health. His professional experience spans from analytic / application development to product development / management to commercialization and management of ongoing data operations with clients.
Prior to Guidehouse, Josh was a founding member and served as a Chief Information Officer at a high-growth, entrepreneurial venture within McKinsey’s global Healthcare practice named Objective Health, which offered software enabled services to US hospitals and health systems. During this time, he developed and provided SaaS based analytic software solutions (i.e., cascading KPI (key performance indicator), dashboards, BI (business intelligence) analytics and program management applications) to over 25 health systems and performed analytics for more than 1000+ facilities nationally with specific solutions and products around Strategic Growth, Medicare Margin and Population Health. Josh had direct responsibility for product development, data operations and application development teams.
Josh also served as a Senior Vice President in a high growth, venture-backed radiology practice that provided cloud-based, subspecialized tele-radiology to enable standards-based clinical delivery across health systems. Combining proprietary technology, knowledge and services with unprecedented scale and transparency, the company enabled radiology to create and capture incremental value which significantly increasing quality and improving outcomes. He was initially brought in to productize technology assets to address strategic shift in business model and quickly assumed key operational role leading SaaS based service delivery to 100+ healthcare clients across 20 states with over 120 radiologists.
Josh began his professional career as an entrepreneur in the Financial Services industry where he started businesses to technology-enable asset retention and direct sales programs for large insurance companies in the annuity, 401 and 457 markets. At Client Preservation and Marketing, he served as a Chief Operating Officer for a high growth, venture-backed start up that successfully retained over $3B in annuity assets. He transitioned this business to a consulting firm where he then served as key Partner. His clients included multiple Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 companies.
