He has a successful track record of managing large-scale projects for medical groups and health systems resulting in significant cost-reduction and performance optimization.
As the leader of Guidehouse's medical group strategy and operations team, he is responsible for engagements focused on optimizing the performance of employed and independent physician groups by addressing their most critical operational and strategic issues. His consulting experience include projects supporting clients in the following areas:
Performance Benchmarking and Assessments: rapid diagnostic of end-to-end medical group performance to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, performance improvement and expense optimization
Provider Compensation Model: from assessment of the current model to compensation philosophy development, to compensation model design and financial impact / scenario analysis to compensation model implementation support
Medical Group Margin Enhancement: partnering with our clients to design and implement initiatives aimed at growing revenue through enhanced access and scheduling to optimizing management and support staff and addressing other operating expenses
Medical Group / Ambulatory Network Strategy: development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy addressing the appropriate composition of the group and the optimal number of sites to position an organization for growth and ensure an adequate network for their market
As the former COO for Inova Medical Group (Fairfax, VA), Jeff has experience in all aspects of physician practice operations, contracting and compensation, medical group strategy, and acquisitions and integration, and revenue cycle. Jeff's prior role at Inova Medical Group include leading the physician compensation team where he oversaw employed and non-employed physician compensation and worked to transition the group to a standard compensation model.
