Jim is a Partner within the Healthcare Strategy Practice. He is a nationally recognized strategy and healthcare consultant and executive. He has more than 30 years of experience as a builder and leader of provider-owned, for-profit, and not-for-profit health plans, clinically integrated networks, and hospitals, and health systems. He has led engagements for world-class academic medical centers, large tertiary health systems, population health and clinically integrated networks, and nationally recognized physician groups and health plans. In particular, he is a recognized leader in the development and operation of large integrated networks and health plans, including the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association, Capital District Physician Health Plan, Excellus BCBS, and Alliance Health Network. He recently served as interim CEO for Southwestern Health Resources and then executive advisor to the CEO of this 4,000 physician and 30-hospital network.
Jim operates at the nexus of physician networks, health plans, health systems, and population health operations, and is a respected and talented expert and facilitator with clients’ board, executives, physician and administrative leadership. He brings deep operating experience with several essential functions including operations of alliances, medical management, referral management, performance improvement, government programs and plans, RAF/HCC, and network development.
