Laura is a director in the Healthcare practice, with deep experience working in academic medical centers and large-scale health systems. Her advisory work focuses on strategic planning, facility evaluation and optimization, large scale capital infrastructure renewal projects, and business and financial performance improvement for complex healthcare systems.
Prior to Guidehouse, her work in industry has encompassed strategic capital asset planning and hospital network facility development and construction. Laura has over 15 years of experience guiding high performing institutions in the assessment of facility and program projects based on diligent evaluation of needs, constraints, options, and opportunities; a determination of financially accountable solutions that maximize facility configuration, flexibility and utilization; and a compelling value proposition that justifies commitment of owner resources.
Her additional advisory capabilities include internal audit support focused on healthcare facilities infrastructure process, controls and integration with long term capital and strategic planning; health system transformation services focused on clinical service cost savings, and facility planning program, architectural design support, facilities management advisory and capital prioritization modelling for an urban payer/provider.
Laura has directed development of a $3 billion-dollar capital plan (inclusive of a $1.5 billion construction portfolio) for a noteworthy multi-site health system and has developed a successful project for a NYC based academic cancer center in NJ.
