Matthew Banks, is associate director within the industry and large corporations team in Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment, with an emphasis on corporate strategies that address climate change. He focuses on strategic engagement in topics of science based targets, climate risk, and corporate social responsibility strategies for the low carbon transition and circular economy. As an expert on corporate response to climate change at Guidehouse, he is a thought leader on corporate strategies and change management.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Banks was a manager at World Wildlife Fund U.S. on the climate team, where he led business engagement on climate change and the development of 16 ventures - Climate Savers, PowerSwitch!, Let the Clean Economy Begin (COP15), Coca Cola Top 10 Energy Savings Best Practices, Coca Cola Climate Ambassadors Program, The 3% Solution, Science-Based Targets, Georgia Power Energy Buyers Initiative, Renewable Energy Buyers Day, P&G Power of 5, Business Backs Low-Carbon USA, Low-Carbon Lessons, Walmart Project Gigaton, We Are Still In, and US Climate Action Center – Business Showcase (COP23). Banks is an advisor for the Redford Center, National Ski Areas Association Golden Eagle Awards for Environmental Excellence, 1776 global incubator, Il Progetto del Mulino – Peschiera Borromeo (Milano, Italy).
