Joe is a Partner in the Life Science Practice of Guidehouse. He joined the firm with the Dymedex acquisition. Joe co-founded and co-led Dymedex. Dymedex had quickly grown to become a leader in the area of Market Development for Medical Technology. Dymedex has developed and refined the Science of Market Development which is a robust and data-driven approach and methodology for assessing and driving adoption of medical technologies. Dymedex’s client base includes many medtech multinationals and a broad cross-section of venture-backed companies across all types of technologies, disease states, and across many geographies. Prior to Dymedex, Joe spent 7 years at Medtronic with global market development responsibility for cardiac implantables.
At Medtronic Joe developed and led a complex market development effort which resulted in global market growth of over $3B over 3 years. Joe also pioneered the development and institutionalization of Patient Access Acceleration (PAA) a systematic approach to market development that Medtronic still uses today. Joe has been involved with over 200 market assessments and has trained > 2000 professionals in the Science of Market Development. Prior to Medtronic, Joe spent 19 years at 3M moving from engineering to global product marketing to P & L management for $120M medical business within 3M Healthcare.
