Dr. Andreas H. Hermelink is a director in the Energy practice. Having a strong scientific background in economics, engineering and sustainable development and 20 years of experience he supports large public and corporate clients as well as NGOs in shaping forward-looking, science-based solutions towards a decarbonised built environment. Andreas has directed several landmark projects like an in-depth guide on nearly-zero energy buildings for Europe, a GIS-based building typology of city of Hamburg/Germany, determining energy renovation rates for all European countries and EU 28, an innovative financing scheme for driving energy efficiency in buildings for a large International Financial Institution and guidance on the future German policy framework for a decarbonised building stock.
