Joseph Meier, P.E., is an Associate Director in the Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment. Joseph primarily manages transmission and generation interconnections in the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) area for several utilities.

Eight generator interconnection projects in the Southern Nevada area
One transmission interconnection project in Northern California and Northern Nevada
He recently joined Guidehouse after almost ten years with California Independent System Operator (CAISO) as a Senior Regional Transmission Engineer where he focused on transmission expansion studies, local capacity requirement studies, and generation interconnection studies for the CAISO controlled grid and has in-depth knowledge about the system in Northern California. He also worked as an operations engineer at the CAISO and provided operations technical support to systems dispatchers, outage coordinators, and market operations staff. Joseph is a registered professional engineer in California.
