Doc has approximately 15 years of experience as a management consultant, client partner, and practice leader selling, leading, and delivering a range of product and portfolio strategy, transaction advisory, pricing and market access, and commercial strategy and innovation engagements for biopharmaceutical industry companies and their investors across the US, Europe, Asia, and Japan.
Doc has advised his clients on a range of strategic product and above-product level issues, such as organic and inorganic growth strategy, geographic expansion strategy, asset, indication and therapy area strategy, pricing and market access strategy, portfolio prioritization and optimization, valuation and commercial due diligence, capability development and organization design, innovation, and new business models, and health systems and policy. In doing so, Doc has gained rich experience and perspective across a diverse range of disease and therapy areas, indications, and product types.
Doc has specific methodological expertise in brand, franchise, and portfolio-level market sizing, forecasting and commercial opportunity assessment, qualitative and quantitative market research across stakeholder types, analogue analysis, competitive benchmarking, scenario planning and risk analysis, and in conducting workshops to define vision, mission and aspirations and to facilitate decision-making under uncertainty to his projects with clients.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Doc was a partner and led the Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific consulting practice at a healthcare research and analytics company. He also held positions as a senior principal at a global consulting organization and at a strategy consulting firm where he led the Asia-Pacific life sciences practice.
