It’s no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic changed the nature of people’s work. For some, the mere location shifted while all other job functions remained unchanged. For others, such as those within the Intelligence Community (IC), the entire environment and culture surrounding work was disrupted to its core. The pandemic forced IC professionals to reevaluate years of traditional operations, processes, and classifications to understand if the security of highly protected facilities was essential to all the work within the Community. For those within the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Enterprise, the best solution lies in reimaging the classification and work platforms in favor of more agile approaches.
