Guidehouse and California Energy Commission Launch Empower Innovation Network

New online platform catalyzes California’s cleantech community by connecting stakeholders and opportunities

Guidehouse and the California Energy Commission launched the Empower Innovation Network on Oct. 14. The platform, managed by Guidehouse and iCatalysts, provides easy access to funding opportunities, curated resources, and connections to people and organizations working to advance clean technology and a low carbon economy.

“We’re very excited about the launch of Empower Innovation and the opportunity to provide a platform for collaboration across the cleantech industry,” says Laura Vogel, associate director at Guidehouse. “On behalf of the Energy Commission, our team of energy industry experts has taken a thoughtful approach to create a solution that is welcoming, supportive, and inspiring.”

Empower Innovation, which is a partnership between leading California technology accelerators, fellowship programs, nonprofits, and private partners, connects a variety of stakeholders across the cleantech industry. Entrepreneurs, developers, investors, local communities, and others can use the network for working connections, referrals, and collaboration on public grants and other opportunities. Community members and related resources include the following:

  • Technology innovators: Resources for technology innovators seeking programs, funding, and other opportunities to help develop and scale their cleantech ventures.

  • Funding providers: Resources for funding providers seeking new applicants for their cleantech-related grant programs and investors looking for new investment and co-funding opportunities in the cleantech industry.
  • Technology adopters: Resources for companies and organizations scouting for emerging technology solutions to benefit their business and services.
