Guidehouse Supports Dominion Energy’s Smart Charging Infrastructure Pilot Program

Energy, Sustainability, & Infrastructure segment helps Dominion Energy accelerate electric vehicle adoption in Virginia

Dominion Energy Virginia recently launched their new Smart Charging Infrastructure Pilot (SCIP) program, a rebate program for the company’s non-residential customers.

The SCIP program supports electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Virginia and will inform the design of managed charging programs and other EV customer offerings in the future. The progam provides rebates for qualifying EV charging stations, charging infrastructure, and installation, commonly referred to as “make-ready,” and network fees.

With the support of Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment, Dominion Energy’s initiative will help the company achieve its commitment to net zero carbon and methane emissions by 2050, as well as support the state of Virginia’s clean energy goals.

In addition to the SCIP program, which provides rebates for EV charging, the company is also supporting the adoption of EVs by:

  • Helping electric vehicle owners save money
  • Moving forward with the nation's largest electric school bus deployment
  • Debuting an electric, self-driving shuttle
  • Helping public transportation go green
  • Installing public fast-charging stations
  • Transitioning the company's fleet to electric vehicles
