Charles Beard

Throughout his more than 30-year career, Charles has advised C-suite executives from around the world on tech-enabled transformations. He is a rare executive who has transitioned from consulting to operating in the C-suite of global companies only to return to consulting again in an executive capacity to help lead the company’s foundations.

Charles’ expertise in technology management began with space and missile command and control systems and then expanded into naval and aeronautic systems. He translated these capabilities into management systems and was at the forefront of enterprise digital transformations for some of the world’s largest industrial brands. His exposure to state-sponsored cyber events post-9/11 saw him return to national security interests.

Before joining Guidehouse, Charles served as CIO and General Manager of the Cybersecurity and Intelligence Unit of Science Applications International (now called Leidos), led the global Transportation and Industrial Markets practice for a major consulting firm, and was a partner in the Forensics practice of another large global consultancy, focused on computer-based crimes with national security implications.
