Jan is an Associate Director in Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment in Seattle, WA. He has more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of the energy field working with utility clients, municipal, national and regional entities, private sector clients and investment interests as well as nonprofit organizations. This broad exposure provides unique perspectives on this diverse industry with a focus on actionable outcomes.
Jan manages the design of energy efficiency, green building and renewable energy programs, market assessments, baseline studies and energy efficiency program and portfolio evaluations. Some of his recent clients include the Sempra utilities, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Puget Sound Energy and the Arizona Public Service Corporation.
Jan is a LEED accredited professional, a licensed Massachusetts State Construction Supervisor and a certified Washington State Energy Code Inspector. He is the President of the Washington chapter of the Association of Energy Service Professional, he served as Vice President of the Vermont Green Building Network and as a commissioner for the Burlington Electric Department. Mr. Harris holds a B.S. in Physics/Energy Systems from the Evergreen State College and an MBA from Boston University.
