Robert McNamara leads the IT Strategy practice at Guidehouse, providing strategy, management, technology, risk, and financial management consulting to public sector and commercial clients around the world.
Robert has more than 20 years management consulting, investment banking, and financial analysis experience. He has advised senior client executives across multiple industries in North America and Europe. Robert’s expertise includes developing integrated business and IT strategy for commercial and public sector organizations, creating growth strategies for highly competitive markets, improving operational performance through modernization and automation, as well as building digital capabilities to improve customer experiences.
His clients include leading commercial utility, technology, and health providers; multiple Cabinet-level federal agencies; New York, Massachusetts and California state and local agencies. In addition, Robert serves as an advisor and board member for multiple nonprofit organizations. He has authored articles and presented on a range of topics, including IT modernization, digital strategy, process automation/AI, cloud and high-performance computing, strategic planning, technology innovation, public sector transformation, cost reduction, and resilience
