Chas Shaffer

With more than 30 years of senior IT leadership, innovation, and collaboration experience, Chas has been at the forefront of technology innovation in support of commercial and public sector organizations. He was recognized by his peers with the Enterprise 2021 Capital CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Award—one of the most prestigious accolades for excellence in his profession.

At the formation of Guidehouse, Chas pioneered and drove our “cloud-first” deployment and business transformation strategy, which featured remote-workforce operations. During the pandemic, that approach proved critical to supporting our clients’ needs and the firm’s rapid growth demands globally. His cloud-first vision, now recognized as best in class, continues to provide real-time expansion support and consistent customer support—enabling us to rapidly respond to client needs as our workforce expands to support our engagements.

Under Chas's dedicated leadership, a global team of more than 500 IT professionals supports corporate information and data security, IT strategy, cloud solutions, networking, end-user devices, and back-office systems.

His responsibilities were recently expanded to include our newly formed CTO organization, focused on delivering new digital solutions and technology services.

Before joining Guidehouse, Chas was CIO for the public sector function of a large global consultancy. He also held CIO partner, project executive, and IT managing director roles at several large global tech and consulting firms.
