Veterans have proven a tremendous fit for Guidehouse’s rapid-fire, team-oriented model. With 20% of our employees having a military background, across branches and ranks, it’s clear how this community contributes to our overall business performance. Bringing unique leadership, problem solving skills and adaptive learning abilities to the table, veterans are extremely well-suited for the speed of our industry and client base. They inherently visualize project solutions through a team-oriented point of view, taking challenges head-on and working collaboratively.

Recruiting the Best of the Best
Veterans exiting active duty, or those on active duty reserve, have a range of opportunities available to leverage the skills they gained while in service. At Guidehouse, we believe veterans are an excellent fit for many reasons, therefore we leverage our existing veteran population as a recruiting machine to guide them into consulting.
Our veterans also help veterans find the correct career when professional services is not their desire, we work with several organizations to find the right place for veterans.
Guidehouse is proud to support Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a 501(c)3 Veterans Service Organization offering compassionate care to those grieving the loss of a loved one who died while serving in our Armed Forces, or as a result of his or her service. Since 1994, TAPS has assisted more than 80,000 surviving families, casualty officers and caregivers and has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
We are particularly supportive of the variety of programs TAPS provides survivors nation and worldwide, including its National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp, held annually in Washington, D.C. since 1994. TAPS also conducts regional survivor seminars for adults and youth programs, as well as retreats and expeditions around the world. Volunteers and survivors are connected to counseling in their community and receive help navigating benefits and resources.
Dog Tag Inc
Another organization Guidehouse supports is Dog Tag Inc., a veteran organization that seeks to provide a transformative opportunity for veterans with service-connected disabilities, spouses and caregivers. They are offered an education at Georgetown University and experiential learning in Dog Tag Bakery. Upon completion of the Dog Tag Inc. (DTI) program, transitioning service members, spouses or caregivers will be business ready, competitive and employable.
Guidehouse has hosted cohorts for a digital boot camp to help build each entrepreneurs’ digital presence. Skills gained from this training have made a direct impact on the expansion of some of the fellows’ small businesses by providing them proven techniques to increase their brand recognition and followership within the digital marketing space. #BAKINGADIFFERENCE
