NERC's annual Grid Security Conference (GridSecCon) brings together cyber and physical security experts from industry and government to share emerging security trends, policy advancements, and lessons learned related to the electricity industry. NERC held the first GridSecCon in New Orleans in October 2011, and has rotated through the NERC Regional Entities across North America.
The conference objectives include:
Promoting reliability of the bulk power system through training and education
Delivering cutting-edge discussions on critical infrastructure security threats, vulnerabilities, and lessons learned from senior industry and government leaders
Informing industry with security best-practice discussions on reliability concerns, risk mitigation, and cyber and physical security threat awareness
Chris Luras, managing director at Guidehouse; Keshav Sarin, director at Guidehouse; and Jared Shakespeare, associate director at Guidehouse will be in attendance.
