Meeting G.25 Environmental Objectives and Requirements for Alliant

Guidehouse Digital LLC. (Guidehouse Digital) received ISO 14001-2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification in 2017. Through on-going EMS implementation, and external audits, Guidehouse Digital continues to formulate and implement policy and objectives that take into account legislative requirements, environment-friendly technological approaches, and information about significant environmental impacts. Guidehouse Digital is committed to maintaining environmental wellness and sustainability. Our EMS program applies to environmental matters over which Guidehouse Digital has control.

Guidehouse Digital is committed to reducing our global environmental impacts across our business, from increasing our recycling goals to decreasing energy usage and maintain our EMS. Examples of this commitment include:

  • Maintaining environmental management system as defined in the Composite Quality Policy Manual and Environmental Management Plan which ensures compliance with ISO 14001
  • Managing Office Energy use by purchasing Energy Star or CSA group certified products
  • Using less energy for commuting: We encourage our employees to use mass transit. We provide Commuter Pre-tax benefit and our main office is convenient to Metro and bus lines. Received 2108 Best Workplaces for Commuter Award Designation from Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
  • Reducing, Reusing, and recycling by purchasing office products which are compliant with EPA Safer Choice standard, paper with high recycled content, printer sleep mode, replacing fluorescent light with energy-efficient LED light, recycle printer cartridges, batteries and IT equipment. Donating used laptops, mouses, and screens to local after-school programs
  • Greening of the office helps improve the air since plants absorb carbon dioxide and other chemicals and release oxygen

Note: Guidehouse Digital does not qualify for the GHGRP Industrial Profiles, EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program since we purely provide services and do neither manufacture nor distribute any of the identified products. See also https://www.epa.gov/ghgreporting
