WashingtonExec Names Guidehouse’s Charles Beard COO of the Year for a Private Company

Honor comes on heels of multiple leadership and excellence awards for firm

WASHINGTON – Guidehouse is proud to announce that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Charles Beard has been named COO of the Year for a Private Company by WashingtonExec. The winners for the Chief Officer Awards, a program that highlights and recognizes C-suite executives both in industry and government, were announced at a virtual ceremony on June 17th.

Charles Beard oversees the day-to-day performance of Guidehouse’s business operations, and points to the acquisition of Navigant Consulting as one of the company’s most significant 2019 achievements. His efforts were instrumental in the strategic vision, business synergies design, and management of the acquisition and subsequent integration.

“Charles plays a key role working across our organization to achieve operational efficiencies and strategic agility at the enterprise level. Whether it be using cloud-based technologies or adopting new employment models for the workforce of the future, he brings innovative thinking,” said Scott McIntyre, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Guidehouse. “We wholeheartedly congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”

Additionally, Beard will be recognized as a Top 25 Consultant by Consulting magazine later this year. The WashingtonExec award comes on the heels of several recent prestigious recognitions for the firm, including:

  • Scott McIntyre, CEO, named to 2020 Wash100 for growing the company’s revenue and consulting services through securing major contract awards, closing valuable acquisitions and forging new partnerships. This marks McIntyre’s fourth-consecutive Wash100 Award.
  • Marianne Bailey, Cybersecurity Leader, named a Top 25 Cybersecurity Executive to Watch in 2020 by WashingtonExec, highlighting executives in both the government and the private sector who consistently stay one step ahead of adversaries, equipped with the technical know-how to safeguard systems and information.
  • John Hunt, Advanced Solutions Leader, selected as a winner of FedScoop’s 2020 Best Bosses in Federal IT award. These annual awards recognize the leaders who demonstrate vision, inspiration and leadership as they rally their teams to deliver innovative technology to serve our community and country.
  • “This has been a momentous year for the firm and we take great pride in the dedicated efforts of our people,” added McIntyre. “We look forward to continuing our journey, advancing our capabilities and helping our clients solve their most complex problems to achieve their objectives.”
