Lon Huber, Director, Named in Fortnightly Under Forty List

Huber was recognized by Public Utilities Fortnightly as a rising star in the utility industry

Public Utility Fortnightly named Lon Huber, director at Guidehouse, to its 2019 Fortnightly Under Forty list. The list names 76 young professionals who are rising stars in the utility industry.

Huber was chosen for his creative and data-driven approach to rate design, energy storage, distributed energy resources compensation and ownership, community solar, and renewable portfolio standard modernization. He is the creator of the innovative Clean Peak Standard concept, an alternative RPS framework to drive clean energy procurement to times aligned with system needs.

Huber’s colleagues say he has a gift for matching a forward-thinking vision with the underlying details that make it achievable, as evidenced by his helping almost a dozen states introduce innovative and modernized approaches to their energy policy and rate design.

Huber, who was also named Innovator of the Year by Utility Dive, is recognized for his thought leadership, is cited in trade press, and speaks at conferences around the country.
