Michelle Bebrin, Associate Director, Named to Fortnightly Under Forty List

Bebrin recognized by Public Utilities Fortnightly as a rising star in the utility industry

Public Utilities Fortnightly (PUF) named Michelle Bebrin, an associate director in Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure segment, to its 2020 Fortnightly Under Forty list. The list names 64 young professionals who are rising stars in the utility industry.

Bebrin, who currently leads NYSERDA’s REV Connect facilitation team, was highlighted for her role in helping REV Connect engage 1,400 companies on 350 innovative ideas for partnerships between utilities and the market. Her efforts have been recognized by clients and regulatory commissions, and REV Connect was named Utility Dive’s 2018 project of the year. Bebrin is also an active mentor to other women in the energy industry and currently leads her office’s women’s group, hosting monthly lunches focused on some of the challenges women face.

She is featured in Public Utilities Fortnightly’s June 2020 issue and was honored during a virtual brown bag lunch where she was asked what is most rewarding about her career. For Bebrin, that’s being part of the industry’s culture change and solving the “people problem” of industry transformation.

“Our team helps by being creative and reframing the conversation of how things could be done,” she said.
