Guidehouse’s Alma Angotti Honored with Washington Business Journal's 2021 "Women Who Mean Business" Award

Angotti was selected for this prestigious award from hundreds of nominations the publication received. To qualify, women must work for a local business or organization and be established leaders with a strong record of innovation in their fields, outstanding performance, and a track record of meaningful community involvement.

At Guidehouse, Angotti leads a team of 600 professionals and is responsible for staying on the cutting edge of the evolving regulatory landscape and helping clients anticipate and respond to change before it adversely impacts the business. In her 10 years at the firm, she has risen to be one of Guidehouse’s leading luminaries and has identified and pioneered new market solutions, including digital assets advisory services.

In her 25 years of experience in regulation and enforcement, Angotti held senior enforcement positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), US Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. She also was the SEC consultant to the Martin Scorsese film, "The Wolf of Wall Street," and is a sought-after advisor and thought leader on combating financial crime.

She also serves as a member of the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative’s Advisory Council, where she works to combat global human trafficking through advocacy awareness, intelligence integration, and technology advancement and data collaboration.
