Shamir Patel

Shamir brings 20 years of in-house and large law firm experience partnering with professional services organizations to solve some of the most complex regulatory and compliance issues. He started his career as a litigator and government contracting attorney. As an experienced litigator, Shamir is respected for building a strong defense in complex disputes at the federal regulator, State Attorney, and Department of Justice levels.

His expertise includes government contracting, regulatory compliance, litigation, internal investigations, cybersecurity, corporate governance, and government relations. He has led various corporate compliance programs designed to uphold corporate ethics and regulatory standards. In addition to advising Guidehouse on a range of matters, he leads the company’s Ethics and Compliance program.

Prior to joining Guidehouse, Shamir was Regulatory Counsel to the Public Sector, Forensics and Cybersecurity Practices of a large professional consulting company (Big 4).
