Guidehouse’s global Energy practice leader is recognized by Consulting magazine
Jan Vrins, managing director and leader of Guidehouse’s global Energy practice, has been named one of Consulting magazine’s Global Leaders in Consulting. Vrins is one of 20 inaugural honorees recognized for outstanding leadership qualities and the ability to exert influence firmwide, with clients, and across the overall consulting profession.
According to Consulting magazine, “the Global Leaders in Consulting are not only making a huge impact in the profession, but their initiative is exemplary and can be felt far and wide — in fact, it can be felt worldwide.”
This is certainly true for Vrins, who has more than 25 years of consulting experience and energy industry leadership roles across North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he’s cultivated a reputation for growing businesses in diverse, international markets. And as a respected thought leader and the head of Guidehouse’s Energy practice, he oversees more than 600 management consultants globally, providing services that help clients navigate the energy transformation.
In late 2016, following Guidehouse’s acquisition of Ecofys, Vrins was instrumental in continuing to cement the practice’s global footprint by working to join two world-class consulting teams into a broader force that now provides a truly worldwide perspective to utility, government, and industry clients.
“Jan’s industry and practice leadership resonates with clients and employees around the world,” said Lee Spirer, Guidehouse’s executive vice president and chief growth and transformation officer. “He has built a team with a keen point of view on the impact of the energy transformation in different markets. Jan is committed to ensuring Guidehouse’s clients understand their unique position and partnering with them to capture value in an evolving energy landscape.”
Vrins was one of 150 nominees for the Global Leaders in Consulting awards. He will be featured in the January issue of Consulting magazine and will be formally recognized at an awards dinner on December 7 in London.
“I am proud to lead Guidehouse’s global Energy team that brings the best of Guidehouse to our clients on a daily basis,” Vrins said. “We are at the forefront of the industry transformation,
