This summer has been challenging for many of us as we learn how to navigate the new normals of social distancing and quarantine living. However, while we’ve all had to learn to adapt to new restrictions and regulations, this new way of life has imposed especially difficult complications on our senior community members living in nursing homes. These at-risk individuals have had to live through fear, uncertainty and great health risks over the past six months.
Thankfully, there are ways we can help and our Guidehouse team has been hard at work doing their part! Over the summer, our Guidehouse team made uplifting cards for seniors in group homes in the COVID-19 epicenter of New York. They took this effort on in partnership with Volunteer New York and have begun mailing their pieces of good cheer out to brighten these seniors’ day!
