The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, and internships during their last 180 days of service. As an authorized DOD SkillBridge organization, we offer transitioning service members real-world job experience and training while they continue receiving their military compensation and benefits.

We are an official partner of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership, a U.S. Department of Defense-led initiative that connects military spouses with hundreds of employers that have committed to recruit, hire, promote, and retain military spouses. The collaboration underscores our dedication to fostering a more inclusive workplace by providing career opportunities to military families, whose unique talents, experiences, and perspectives strengthen our teams.

This innovative U.S. Chamber of Commerce program provides transitioning service members with professional development, training, and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. Our 12-week fellowship program gives participants the valuable opportunity to build civilian work experience and receive on-the-job training. Fellows receive Chamber of Commerce-led professional development and employment-related training.

We are proud to support the United Service Organizations (USO), a congressionally chartered nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families. We partner with the USO on multiple initiatives, including sponsorships and volunteer activities, to positively impact lives. The organization’s many specialized programs offer a continuum of support to service members throughout their journey of service—from the first time they put on the uniform until the last time they take it off.

It has been extremely gratifying to welcome and salute groups of veterans visiting Washington, D.C., where our headquarters is located, in conjunction with the Honor Flight Network. This national nonprofit organization and its 128 independent hubs work together to transport America’s veterans to D.C. to visit the memorials honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

We support the work of FourBlock, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing service members and military spouses for a successful transition to civilian careers. Through its career readiness program, the organization is building a network where transitioning veterans and military spouses can connect locally and attain the skills, resources, and relationship-building opportunities necessary to reach their career potential. We are an integral part of multiple FourBlock cohorts each year, helping transitioning veterans reimagine and develop new careers and become future corporate leaders.

We participate in the U.S. Department of Defense’s interagency Transition Assistance Program (TAP), which gives service members and their spouses the information, tools, and training needed to transition from military service to civilian life. TAP connects a vast network of relationships, services, and resources across service branches and local government, private industry, and nonprofit community programs. We attend local classes on military installations to offer help and share opportunities.
