Guidehouse and USO Unite to Support U.S. Military Service Members

Family Field Day volunteers assemble 2,000 care kits at Audi Field to deliver comfort and connection to deployed troops

MCLEAN, VA — August 20, 2025 — Guidehouse, a global AI-led professional services firm, partnered with the United Service Organizations (USO) during Family Field Day at Audi Field on July 27, bringing together employees, volunteers, and community members to support U.S. military service members through hands-on service and shared purpose.

The event featured D.C. United players, USO volunteers, and Guidehouse colleagues and their families working side by side to assemble 2,000 USO Care Packages. These snack and toiletry kits—designed for durability and military compatibility—offer deployed troops a tangible reminder of home and are part of the USO Care Package Program, which delivered nearly 350,000 kits across 90 countries in 2024.

“We can never do enough to support the brave men and women of our military and their families,” said Ryan McKeon, a Partner in Guidehouse’s Defense & Security segment and USO Mid-Atlantic Advisory Council member. “Their sacrifices make our freedoms possible, and these events are a meaningful way to thank them. Seeing colleagues and families volunteer to pack care kits is a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. These packages may seem simple, but to a deployed service member, they are a tangible expression of appreciation and connection.”

Guidehouse’s partnership with the USO reflects a shared commitment to service, impact, and community. From volunteering at USO lounges to packing Thanksgiving meals for junior enlisted families, Guidehouse employees consistently engage in efforts that uplift military personnel and their families.

“Events like Family Field Day allow us to bring our communities together to show appreciation, give back, and deliver a piece of home to those serving far away,” said Lisa Marie Riggins, Regional President for the USO Southeast Region. “This partnership reflects the strength of collective action and the power of gratitude.”

Family Field Day also highlighted Guidehouse’s culture of connection—bringing employees and their families together to build relationships, celebrate teamwork, and make memories. As a firm built to outwit complexity and deliver lasting impact, Guidehouse continues to champion service members and strengthen communities through meaningful collaboration.

The USO Care Package Program traces its origins to World War II, when citizens sent comforting items to troops abroad. Today’s kits are thoughtfully modernized with healthy snacks and hygiene products, designed to be both practical and morale-boosting for service members stationed around the world.
